Monitoring is often viewed as a mechanism for checking up on projects. We much prefer to see it as a way of building evidence over the life of the project to support continuing funding after the HAZ ends.

Monitoring for grants is carried out on a quarterly basis in the shape of a standardized pro-forma, which organizations have to fill and return at the end of each funding quarter. This reflects the targets and outputs for the entire project and a quarterly evaluation of progress made against them.
