Mental Health

Developmental work is underway in two areas of mental health - Service User Involvement and Advocacy. The decision of the two areas is based on an analysis of the current gaps in provision and the needs identified by the local community and voluntary sector organisations. These two projects will be delivered within the community and voluntary sector and HAZ will ensure that the mental health statutory services are engaged from the very beginning to ensure that they have a realistic chance of mainstreaming at the end of the HAZ funding.

The Service User Involvement and Advocacy project will create dynamic opportunities through which mental health service users can engage with, influence and direct the current and future provision of mental health services. This project will be run by Brent User Group (BUG).
